In recent years, the city's food contaminants have been at a relatively low level, and the qualified rate of food sampling has been high. Statistics show that the city's annual report of the average incidence of collective food poisoning accidents is maintained at a low level below the 3/100,000 population, and the city’s food safety is generally in a state of dynamic control. According to Xie Minqiang, deputy director of the Municipal Food and Drug Administration, Shanghai has initially established a relatively comprehensive food safety risk monitoring system and established suspected food-related abnormal cases/abnormal health monitoring sites in 10 secondary and tertiary hospitals.
