The role of ozone generators in placing pests

Ozone is a colorless, slightly odorous gas that dissolves into water and becomes a strong oxidant, which has a strong killing effect on living cells. The ozone generator can convert the oxygen in the air into ozone under the high voltage and high frequency electric ionization, and then use it in production, and the power is generally below 200 watts. In recent years, the author has used ozone generators to carry out experiments on the application of ozone to control greenhouse pests and diseases in greenhouses in greenhouses around Xi'an, and achieved good results.

First, the advantages of ozone prevention and control of pests and diseases

1. Safe, efficient and low cost. Ozone can achieve a multi-purpose, while controlling a variety of pests and diseases, and low cost of control. Compared with spraying agricultural applications, ozone application is more convenient, efficient and safe, which can greatly reduce the amount of agricultural use, and avoid the use of high-toxicity and high-residue agricultural requirements by vegetable farmers, thereby reducing the cost of medication.

2, no pollution. Ozone is unstable in dry air and can be quickly decomposed and reduced to oxygen. Therefore, it is an important way to achieve pollution-free vegetable production without pollution or residue in plants and fruits.

3. Improve quality and increase production. After the experiment, the use of ozone in greenhouse tomatoes was significantly reduced, the yield increased by about 20%, and the fruit was large, well colored and taste good.

Second, the method of use

1. Seed treatment. The ozone gas was introduced into clean water and continuously stirred, and after 10 minutes, an ozone solution was obtained. Pour the seeds into it for 15-20 minutes to kill viruses, germs and eggs on the surface of the seeds.

2, greenhouse greenhouse pest control

(1) disinfection of the shed. 10 days before planting, the ozone generator can be used to concentrate ozone in the shed in combination with the high temperature shack. The application time is preferably no less than 2 hours. (2) Controlling seedbed pests and diseases. First seal the seedbed, apply for 1 minute every 10 square meters, and fumigate for 10 minutes, then ventilate for another 30 minutes. (3) Prevention and control of pests and diseases after planting vegetables. After planting and slowing down the seedlings, ozone is continuously applied for 7-10 minutes per mu of shed, then fumigate for 15-20 minutes, then ventilate for 30 minutes. The disease-free shed is applied once every 5-7 days, 5 times in a row, and 5 minutes after each 2-3 times of application, until 25 minutes per acre. The fumigation time is also increased by 5-10 minutes every 2-3 times. It has been proved by experiments that ozone has good effects on the control of tomato gray mold, leaf mold, early blight, late blight, cucumber downy mildew, epidemic diseases, and greenhouse pests, leaf miners, aphids and other pests. However, for the pests and diseases in the greenhouse soil, the amount of ozone gas infiltrated into the soil is too small, and the concentration is too low, so it has no effect.

Third, matters needing attention

1. Reasonably determine the amount of application and fumigation time. The amount of ozone applied and the fumigation time of the closed shed should be adjusted according to different crops and their growth period. Generally, crops in adult stage are more adaptable to ozone than seedling crops. In the production, if the amount of ozone is too large or the room fumigation time is too long, the light will cause the leaves and flowers poisoning of the greenhouse vegetables to dry up, and the heavy ones will cause the plants to die. As the plant grows, the amount of application and fumigation time can be gradually increased to achieve the purpose of controlling pests and diseases without harming vegetable crops. When releasing, try to ensure uniformity, and the air jet can not directly face the vegetables, it should be 0.8-1 meters or more from the vegetable plants. After the fumigation time arrives, it should be ventilated in time. The general ventilation time should not be less than 30 minutes. When the shed is fumigation, people and animals are strictly prevented from entering, so as to avoid poisoning or other adverse reactions.

2. Temperature and humidity control. When the ozone is applied, the indoor temperature should be kept within the range of 10-30 °C, and the control effect will be better under the condition of high air humidity.
