Lamb breaking three methods

There are three ways to cut off the tail of a lamb.

(1) Ligation. Use a rubber band with better elasticity and place it between the third and fourth vertebrae of the lamb and tighten it tightly to cut off the blood circulation. The tail will fall off in about 10 days.

(2) Fast knife method. First tighten the tail with a string, cut off the blood flow, and then use a sharp knife cut off from the tail 4 to 5 cm, the wound with gauze, cotton dressing, so as to avoid infection or frostbite. In the afternoon, the tail's string was untied to allow blood to circulate. Generally, after 7 to 10 days, the wound will heal.

(3) heat breaking method. The thermal breakage method can be done with a break-off shovel or a tail-clamping pliers. When the tail is cut off with a broken tail shovel, two 20 cm square boards must be prepared first. Underneath a piece of wood, dig a half-moon-shaped notch. Both sides of the board are nailed with iron sheet, and the other one is pinned with iron sheet only on both sides. In operation, one person fixes the sheep, holds the lamb's limbs with both hands, sticks the back of the lamb to the fixed person's chest, and allows the lamb to sit on a wooden board. The operator used a board with a crescent-shaped notch and pressed the tail tightly between the third and fourth tails of the tail. Use a hot tail-squeeze scoop to press the block slightly and press down forcefully. The speed of cutting should not be too swift. If there is bleeding, you can use hot scalding and then scald, then use iodine to disinfect.
