EZ-2 Elite: Universal Centrifugal Evaporator for Contract Research Institutes
The EZ-2 Elite Centrifugal Evaporator is designed to effectively concentrate or completely dry the sample. It is compatible with a variety of sample holders and supports common sample container format evaporation, including round bottom flasks, test tubes, vials, and microplates. The SampleGenieTM technology, combined with the FastLyo program on the EZ-2 Elite, concentrates the HPLC fraction and freezes it directly into the extraction vial. This innovative technology produces a weighable solid that eliminates manual handling, increases sample recovery, and avoids cross-contamination.
The EZ-2 Elite is very intuitive to operate: just load the sample, select the maximum safe temperature for the sample, select the solvent type and click Start. In addition, it provides unattended operation through a pre-programmed approach. The compact evaporator does not require any user training, even beginners can use the system in less than 5 minutes.
With the leading position of Genevac in high performance evaporation technology, EZ-2 Elite is able to routinely dry stubborn samples. Benefiting from a high-performance scroll pump that provides deep vacuum, the product can even remove high-boiling solvents such as DMSO and NMP and acidic solvents such as HCl.
The internal heating of the steam lines and system components ensures that this challenging solvent will only accumulate in the SpeedTrapTM condenser and will not accumulate anywhere else. The condenser is equipped with automatic defrost and drainage technology. The evaporator controls the condenser and solvent collection vessel to provide an intermediate method of defrosting and draining.
