Rainy apple orchard management in summer

Drainage fertilization

Clear the orchard drainage ditch, remove the accumulated water in time, and promptly do a good job of reclaiming the soil in the orchard after the weather improves to prevent roots and rot.

One is top dressing. Spraying potassium dihydrogen phosphate, agricultural nucleotides or nitrogen-containing foliar fertilizers enhances photosynthesis, increases tree nutrient accumulation, and prevents the phenomenon of “defertilization” of fruit trees caused by large rainfall. Spray the corresponding fruit protection medicine to prevent physiological drop and fruit cracking during the rainy season. The second is root fertilization. After removing the accumulated water, topdressing with nitrogen and phosphate fertilizers as the main quick-acting fertilizer or compound fertilizer promoted new roots and promoted restoration of tree vigor.

Tree Management

The first is reinforcement, and the slopes or fallen fruit trees are reinforced in the original state immediately after the rain. In particular, the roots of fruit trees cultivated in protected areas are shallow, and they are easier to fall down after flooding.

The second is pruning. After the weather is fine, the branches, fruits, fruit cracks, and broken branches are cut off. For trees with long baptism time, severe root damage, and luxuriant foliage, cut off some of the branches and leaves to enhance the ventilation of the orchard. First, remove too many new shoots on the back, and leave a smaller new shoot every 30 centimeters to prevent it from taking off. Then clear the new shoots above the bifurcated branches, and then sparse the sides and the light between the layers. And lightless new shoots. The fruitless branches of perennial trees should also be removed. Do not go to the new shoots of fruit trees because nutrients are supplied nearby. After the new shoots of thinning fruit, the fruit enlargement will be affected. After the thinning, the coefficient of flowering under the tree should reach more than 25%. Promoting flower bud formation and preventing fruit shedding can also alleviate the conflict between new shoots and fruits. Spray 1-2 times after the pruning to prevent disease and pest transmission caused by pruning.

The third is to make up the seedlings. For the fruit trees that have died after flooding, they will search for the tree source in time to make up the seedlings.

Pest control

After the storm, the orchard has high humidity, which is conducive to the spread of germs and the breeding of pests, and pest and disease control should be carried out in a timely manner.

The first is the Qingyuan Garden. After the rain, pests, rotten fruit, rotten leaves, etc. are cleared out of the orchard in time to reduce the source of diseases and insects.

The second is chemical control. It should be noted that when the weather is fine, the pesticide should be sprayed, prevented, and pest-repelled. This can be combined with dressing fertilizers outside the roots, and the whole garden should be sprayed with 1-2 broad-spectrum insecticides and fungicides. For rotted orchards, rot roots and dead plants should be excavated in time, lime should be applied around the tree trays or sterilized by spraying.
