Liaoning Spring Festival merchandise sales hot and stable prices of agricultural and sideline products

During the Spring Festival of 2012, the purchase and sale of commodities during the Spring Festival in Liaoning Province was booming and the prices of agricultural and sideline products remained stable.

During the holiday season, all over Liaoning Province focused on the “Thousands of Enterprises in Kinds of Commodities Exhibitions and Joint Sales” event, and launched more than 280 themed promotion activities of various forms and rich variety, and established 46 distinctive commercial streets and New Year’s goods streets. According to the monitoring statistics of the service management department of Liaoning Province for 75 large and medium-sized commercial enterprises in the province, only 7 days of the Spring Festival holiday, the company’s merchandise sales amounted to 773 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 20.3%, setting a new record high.

According to the Liaoning Province Service Industry Committee's daily necessities monitoring system, the price of daily necessities in the province remained generally stable. The average monitored retail price of the 18 kinds of vegetables monitored was 6.39 yuan/kg, which was 0.16% lower than before the holiday. Except for the impact of freezing rain and snow in the south, the prices of individual leafy vegetables have increased, and most of the prices of vegetables have remained basically unchanged. The prices of pork and eggs rose only slightly by 2% over the weekdays, and the grain and oil prices remained stable.

According to the staff of the Liaoning Provincial Service Industry Commission, this year, Liaoning increased the supply of agricultural and sideline products, strengthened real estate monitoring and adjustment, and strengthened the agricultural and sideline products of the province by strengthening production and sales linkages, expanding foreign purchases, using price-adjusted funds, and opening up green corridors.
