Please look up, this is the transcript of Research Kit's first birthday.

OFweek Medical News Apple's spring 2016 conference has been settled, and the new medical health platform architecture, Care Kit, is currently hot. But don't just see new people laughing: Apple released the Research Kit in March last year, just one year. A year ago, Apple COO Williams vowed that the Research Kit would subvert medical research. A year later, medical research was "subverted"? Based on the Research Kit platform, what have been achieved? What are the things that the Research Kit behind the Halo is not able to catch?

Then please look up, this is the transcript of Research Kit's first birthday -

What is the Research Kit?

When it comes to medical research, it usually reminds people of the embarrassing scene in which volunteers are used as mice. Although everyone has a heart that contributes to all human beings, the people who actually participate in medical experiments are actually quite limited, which directly leads to the lack of medical research data. . There is not enough data, what is the study? In response to this, Apple, which is aiming to change its life through technology, released the Research Kit in March 2015 to change the way medical research data is collected.

The Research Kit is an open source medical data platform on which researchers can develop programs to collect data via mobile devices such as the iPhone and Apple Watch. Apple hopes to use this software to turn the iPhone into a medical diagnostic tool and build a complete database of patients, somewhat similar to a privately-tailored medical record, or around the clock.

At the press conference last year, the Research Kit platform had five apps for breast cancer jointly developed by the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, the UCLA School of Public Health, the Pennsylvania State University School of Medicine, and the American SageBionetworks Research Center. Share the Journey, MyHeart Counts for cardiovascular disease, launched by Stanford and Oxford University, GlucoSuccess for Diabetes, launched by Massachusetts General Hospital, and asthma for the West Coast Hospital and Cornell University's Will Medical School Asthma Health, and mPower for Parkinson's disease (PD) jointly developed by the University of Rochester, China's Capital Medical University Xuanwu Hospital and Sage Bionetworks.
